Suspension Servicing/Set Up
Our mechanics have been Cytech Trained to Level 3 to fix and service the latest Suspension Forks and Shocks from Fox, Rockshox, Marzocchi and SR Suntour. You’ll have peace of mind when you trust us with your suspension and it will be carried out in house in our fully equipped Shimano Service Centre.
Fitting of Suspension Fork or Shock - £15 to £25
For Fork Fitting, this includes the removal of your old Fork, the removal, fitting & set up of your front brake, the removal and/or fitting of the crown race, cleaning and greasing of headset bearings, assembly of headset spacers and stem, measurement of steerer length and cutting, insertion of the star nut, final assembly of forks into bike, pre-tension of the headset and tighten stem bolts to the correct torque.
For Shock Fitting, this includes the removal of your old shock, the removal and/or fitting of shock bushings, assembly of shock into frame, lubrication, pressurisation, adjustment of shock sag and set up of the high and low speed compression for the rider’s weight.
We aim to get this completed and back to you the same day, but if we need to order bushings there may be a slight delay.
Suspension Services we provide:
Regular Lower Leg Service - £25
This should be carried out approximately every 50 Hours.
This includes the removal of the lower section of your suspension forks, an internal clean of the lowers, new suspension oil and a performance assessment. We will also replace the dust seals and foam rings if they are required (sold separately). Our aim with this service is to get your forks back to you the same day.
Air Can Service - £30
This should be carried out approximately every 50 Hours.
This includes the removal of the air can, an internal clean of the air can, new suspension oil and a performance assessment. We will also replace the dust seals, bushings and O-Rings if they are required (sold separately). Our aim with this service is to get your rear shock back to you the same day.
Comprehensive Suspension service - £125
This price is per fork or shock.
This should be carried out approximately every 125 hours for Fox Forks and Shocks and approximately every 100 - 200 for Rockshox Forks and Shocks (for Rockshox, Please check Here or your Owners Manual).
This Includes the removal, replacement and resetting of you Forks and Shock. For this Service, we do not carry it out in house, we send your Forks or Shock off to a Specialist Suspension Centre. Due to them being sent off, it can take up to 10 working days.
Suspension Set Up Services:
We also do suspension set up in house, providing 2 packages:
General Set Up - £15
This set up will take 20-30 minutes.
You receive 1 to 1 time with a mechanic who will set up your Rebound, Compression and Damping of your suspension forks and shock.
Comprehensive Set Up - £50
This set up will take approximately 2 Hours.
You will receive 1 to 1 time with a mechanic who will set up your Rebound, High Speed Compression, Low Speed Compression, Damping and adjustment of your Air Volume.
